I personally think you can eat apple pie any time of year. Maybe all year If I had my way. Of course that wouldn’t be feasible but, who’s judging anyways?
I tend to make this down right delicious apple pie several times a year due to request from family members and myself of course. So, I guess you could say I’m sort of an expert in the field of all things apple pie. I’d like to think so *pats self on back*.
This apple pie recipe is fairly easy to make and simple to follow. Check and check. The crust is buttery and flaky. The apples are cut thin so, they literally melt in your mouth with a taste of cinnamon in every bite. What’s not to love?
HOW LONG WILL THE REMARKABLY DELICIOUS APPLE PIE LAST IN OR OUT OF THE FRIDGE?
The apple pie will last about 1 to 2 days at room temperature. You should wrap the pie in it’s pie plate with cling wrap.
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE PIE IN THE FRIDGE:
- Wrap the apple pie in cling wrap or foil
- The pie should last almost a week in the refridgerator.
FREEZING THE APPLE PIE?
- The apple pie should cool all the way before wrapping it up (This is if you have just taken it out of the oven).
- Wrap the pie in plastic wrap or foil
- Make sure to get as much air our of the bag as you can to keep it fresher longer
- The apple pie should last 3-4 months In the freezer
- To reheat, take pie out of freezer, preheat oven to 375 degrees, thaw for 30 minutes, and then put in oven until it’s warm

INGREDIENTS FOR REMARKABLY DELICIOUS APPLE PIE:
- 4 to 5 medium apples (Granny Smith apples are great for baking!)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup sugar + 1 teaspoon for the pie crust topping
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 pie crust (can be store bought or homemade)
- half a lemon
- 3 tablespoons butter + 1 tablespoon for brushing pie crust top
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
HOW TO MAKE REMARKABLY DELICIOUS APPLE PIE:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Gather all of your ingredients.
Add the flour, brown sugar, sugar, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon into a bowl and combine. Get brown sugar clumps out with a fork.
Set aside dry mixture. Peel apples and slice 1/4 inch thin.
Add the dry mixture to the apples in a large bowl and stir. Set aside.
Lightly flour your work surface and roll out your pie crust or use store bought pie crust and put on pie plate. Trim the edges. Leave an inch around the rim of the pie plate.
Pour apple mixture into prepared pie crust. Dot the apples with butter then drape other pie crust over the pie.
Cut the excess pie crust and leave an inch. Fold the pie crust edges underneath all around the apple pie. Crimp the edges.
Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and pour on the top of the pie crust. Brush with pastry brush or use your fingers.
Sprinkle remaining teaspoon of sugar on top of the crust. Cut slits in the crust.
Cover the pie edges with foil and bake in oven for 30 minutes on the middle rack. Afterwards, remove the foil and bake an additional 15- 20 minutes.
The crust should be golden brown and the juice from the pie should start to bubble from the slits. This should be your final result:
